She has been involved in metabolic support\, vitamin therapeutics and medicinal natural products for number of years. DESCRIPTION:PTSD Awareness Month Open House\, inviting those interested in learning more about alternative treatments to tour the museum.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n  \nPTSD Awareness Month is observed every June for the purpose of raising public awareness of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and the Florida chapter of the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR)\, is inviting those interested in learning more about alternative treatments to tour their museum. \n  \nSince 2015 over 7\,000 people have toured the museum located at 109 N. Fort Harrison in Clearwater\, Florida. The museum is free of charge \n  \nToday some 80% of vets labeled with PTSD receive psychotropic drugs; 89% of these are given antidepressants\, with 34% treated with antipsychotics—drugs so powerful they were intended only for the most seriously disturbed. Since 2001\, there have been more than 150 worldwide drug regulatory warnings and studies issued about the dangerous—often lethal effects—of psychotropic drugs such as these. \n  \nLocated within CCHR Florida’s headquarters in Clearwater\, Florida\, this compelling exhibit chronicles the past few centuries of history of mental health treatment and the track record of psychiatric profession. \n  \nPsychiatric treatment is one of the most lucrative businesses in the world and according to information from IMS Health\, a company that provides information\, services and technology for the healthcare industry\, there are over 76 million people taking psychiatric drugs. \n  \nLEARNING OBJECTIVES: \n1. Participants will understand the history of where the origins of the psychiatric profession. \n  \n2. Participants will be able to describe the various types of treatment mental health patients were subjected to throughout history. \n  \n3. Participants will be able to identify the basic human rights of veterans and active duty soldiers that are impacted by the psychiatric profession and its consequences. \n  \n4. Participants will be provided with action steps to protect themselves\, their children\, and all those impacted by an incorrect diagnosis. \n  \n  \nDIRECTIONS & SCHEDULE \nThe public is invited to come to the center to learn more about psychiatric drug side effects\, the Florida mental health law\, the Baker Act and for a tour of the Psychiatry: An Industry of Death museum. \n  \nThe museum is free to the public and is open seven days a week \n  \nWHEN: 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm Saturday 26 June. \n  \nWHERE: Citizens Commission on Human Rights of Florida \n109 N.
