How To Help Others Get Fully Informed On The Subject Of Psychiatry
A mother of five children returned home from class to find that her children had been taken into Foster Care. The children had been with their grandmother who ran a daycare center. After a ten month battle, the children were finally returned to her—with four of them on psychiatric drugs. She worked hard to get her children safely off the drugs. Some years later, the nightmare returned for this mother, now a grandmother, when two of her grandchildren were removed to Foster Care. CCHR intervened by documenting the situation, educating their attorney with facts and statistics, and through persistence, winning the case and a return of the two children to their home.

Psychiatrists at the American Psychiatric Association Convention were interviewed and they answered the question, “Are there any medical or scientific tests for psychiatric disorders?”
Answers from psychiatrists:
- “There are no biological tests for any mental illnesses that I am aware of.”
- “There are not current available tests to verify your diagnosis.”
- “There is no real test, there is no specific test to differentiate between, let’s say schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, not a single test.”
- “We have not really confirmatory tests for the diagnosis.”
- “There is no test, there is no biopsy you can do that says this person is depressed, this person is bipolar.”
- “ We don’t have anything really currently to identify mental illness per se”
- “ No there are no specific tests to confirm the diagnosis or to show the improvement, like any blood tests or any x-Rays or anything.”
